Newcomer Chuck Wicks released his debut album, Starting Now, on RCA Records on Tuesday (Jan. 22). The Delaware native wrote all but one of the songs on the album that was co-produced by Dann Huff and Monty Powell. It includes his current single, "Stealing Cinderella." ... Several country-influenced artists on independent labels also released new albums on Tuesday, including Laura Bryna's Trying to Be Me (Equity). Andy Hall, of the Infamous Stringdusters, issued a digital solo album, Sound of the Slide Guitar (Sugar Hill), with a guest appearance by fellow Dobro player Rob Ickes. Other new releases include Ray Bonneville's Goin' by Feel (Red House), Barton Carroll's The Lost One (Skybucket), Drive-By Truckers' Brighter Than Creation's Dark (New West), Patty Larkin's Watch the Sky (Vanguard), Jason Ringenberg's Best Tracks and Side Tracks (Yep Roc) and Owen Temple's Two Thousand Miles (El Paisano).
