Whiskeytown's 1997 album, Strangers Almanac, will be reissued as a two-CD deluxe edition on March 4 on Mood Food/Outpost/Geffen/UMe.
The first disc includes the original album, which was recorded in Nashville, plus five previously unreleased public radio
performances. The second disc offers mostly previously unreleased recordings from the pre-production sessions for the album.
Considered one of the foremost alt-country bands, Whiskeytown was the launching ground for singer-songwriters Ryan Adams,
Caitlin Cary and Phil Wandscher.
