LeAnn Rimes, Eric Church, Jennifer Hanson and Phil Vassar are among the songwriters offering acoustic performances at the upcoming Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. Rimes and Vassar will perform March 5 during an ASCAP showcase that also features Dave Berg, Tony Mullins and Neil Thrasher. Church and Hanson will be joined by Casey Beathard and Dean Dillon at BMI's showcase on March 6. Thrasher, ASCAP's 2004 songwriter of the year, has a list of credits that includes Rascal Flatts' "I Melt" and "Fast Cars and Freedom" and Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life." Dillon, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, is best known for his string of George Strait hits, including "The Chair," "Nobody in His Right Mind Would've Left Her," "It Ain't Cool to Be Crazy About You," "Ocean Front Property," "If I Know Me," "The Best Day" and "She Let Herself Go." Tickets to the performances are available only through registration at CRS, an event aimed at the country radio industry.
