Dolly Parton and a new band featuring Chris Thile are among the artists releasing new albums on Tuesday (Feb. 26). Parton's Backwoods Barbie, the first release on her Dolly Records label, is a move back toward mainstream country music, although it includes covers of Fine Young Cannibals' "Drive Me Crazy" and the Motown classic, "The Tracks of My Tears." Thile, best known for his vocals and mandolin work in Nickel Creek, is currently touring with the Punch Brothers, a group featuring guitarist Chris Eldridge, bassist Greg Garrison, banjo player Noam Pikelny and fiddler Gabe Witcher. Their new CD, Punch, is out on Nonesuch Records. ... Other albums released Tuesday include Tift Merritt's Another Country (Fantasy) and Trent Willmon's Broken In (Compadre/Music World Entertainment).
