Dierks Bentley joined Gretchen Wilson and Big & Rich's John Rich on Monday night (Feb. 25) in Providence, R.I., during a fundraiser for victims of a 2003 nightclub fire that claimed 100 lives and injured approximately 200 others. The three Nashville-based artists offered an acoustic performance that included "Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)" and "Redneck Woman." Hosted by Twisted Sister's Dee Snider, other performers at the Phoenix Rising concert included Tesla, Winger, Stryper and Boston members Tom Scholz and Gary Pihl. The fire at the Station nightclub in West Warwick, R.I., was caused by pyrotechnics that were used during a performance by Great White. At Tuesday's concert, Wilson recalled the years she spent working at small bars. "We all paid our dues in places like that," she said. "It made us what we are today."
