Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora was arrested late Tuesday night (March 25) in Laguna Beach, Calif., on suspicion of
driving under the influence of alcohol. Sambora, 49, was driving a black Hummer when police stopped the SUV for weaving across
the center traffic line. Police said three females -- including two minors -- were in the vehicle at the time of his arrest.
He voluntarily submitted to verbal and manual field sobriety tests, and he was later given a blood test. Sambora, a resident
of Laguna Beach, was transported to the local jail and released approximately five hours later. A May 7 court date has been
scheduled in the misdemeanor case. Sambora, who has publicly acknowledged his battle with alcohol, underwent treatment at
a rehab center in Los Angeles last year.
