Tony Joe White has rerecorded 10 songs from his extensive catalog for his new album, Deep Cuts, due for a June 10 release
on Swamp Records. White's son, Jody White, produced the album, which has a techno blues influence. Selections include "Set
the Hook" and "As the Crow Flies," as well as "Willie and Laura Mae Jones," which was recorded by Dusty Springfield and, more
recently, by Shelby Lynne.
