Miranda Lambert Cleared in Texas Assault Case
A woman who claimed Miranda Lambert assaulted her at a nightclub in Tyler, Texas, has been charged with filing a false report
to a police officer, officials of the Smith County sheriff's office announced Friday (April 25). Lambert has been cleared
of any wrongdoing in the incident that occurred Saturday (April 19) at Bootlegger's club while she was attending a CD release
party for singer-songwriter Adam Hood. Lambert was in Tyler to host her first annual Cause for the Paws wine tasting festival
and concert that raised more than $100,000 for the Humane Society of East Texas. Aisha Esbay, a 24-year-old student at the
University of Texas at Tyler, claimed she was shoved and cursed by Lambert when she tried to get a photo taken with the singer.
Esbay now faces a Class B misdemeanor charge that could result in jail time, a fine or both.
