Larry the Cable Guy will star in a holiday special for CMT, and comedian Tom Arnold will host a second season of CMT's My
Big Redneck Wedding, it was announced Wednesday (July 9). Larry the Cable Guy's Star Studded Christmas Extravaganza,
a one-hour special, will be taped July 30 at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville. Larry the Cable Guy hosted
a similar holiday show for VH1 in 2007. "We had so much fun last year trying to recreate one of those old Christmas specials
from the '70s, we thought we'd try doing it every year," he said. The new special is scheduled to include appearances by Toby
Keith, Montgomery Gentry, Tony Orlando, comedian Lewis Black, comic actor Fred Willard, ventriloquist Terry Fator and comedienne
Victoria Jackson. A DVD of the special will be released by Jack Records/Warner Bros. Records following the show's premiere
in November. ... Arnold will host eight new episodes of My Big Redneck Wedding for the new season that begins in October.
The series premiered in January on CMT.
