Mindy McCready remains in a substance abuse rehab center after being taken to the emergency room of a Nashville hospital last week. Officials at Vanderbilt University Medical Center have confirmed McCready received treatment on July 16. In a press release, a hospital spokeswoman said, "She was treated and released, and we understand has since been admitted to an out-of-state treatment facility." McCready's New York-based publicist also issued a press release that stated, "Mindy McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer term and broader-based treatment. To her credit, she has entered into an extended-care facility where she will receive the care needed, and for the moment we ask that everyone respect her privacy." In April, McCready acknowledged she had been involved in a long-term relationship with former New York Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens. She served a jail sentence last year after violating probation on a 2004 drug arrest.
