Kid Rock Fined After Pleading No Contest to Battery Charge
Kid Rock has been fined $1,000 and sentenced to a year of probation after pleading no contest to a single charge of simple
battery in connection with a fight at a Waffle House restaurant in Decatur, Ga., near Atlanta. Kid Rock, whose real name is
Robert Ritchie, and five members of his entourage were arrested early on the morning of Oct. 21 following a concert in Atlanta.
In addition to the fine and probation, Ritchie, 37, was also ordered to undergo six hours of anger management counseling and
80 hours of community service. Two members of Ritchie's entourage each pleaded no contest to battery charge and received similar
sentences. Charges were dropped against the other three.
