Kenny Chesney will reveal his first new music in more than a year with the Aug. 10 release of "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven,"
a track from his upcoming album. Described as having a calypso influence, it was written by Nashville songwriters Jim Collins
and Marty Dodson. Collins' songwriting credits include Chesney's "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" and "The Good Stuff." Chesney
said, "Everything in that song is everything we all think. I don't know anyone who doesn't want to go to heaven, but nobody
wants to go today. If you could pick, you wouldn't pick right now. You'd want to live, to do more things, to have more fun."
... In related news, Chesney launches his No Shoes Radio channel for XM Satellite Radio on Saturday (July 26) with a live
broadcast from the parking lot of Boston's Gillette Stadium. Later that night, he'll be headlining at the stadium with Keith
Urban, LeAnn Rimes, Gary Allan and Sammy Hagar.
