Phil Vassar Is Spokesperson for Hunger Action Month
Phil Vassar has been named official spokesperson of the inaugural Hunger Action Month, a campaign sponsored by Feeding America.
The agency, the nation's largest hunger-relief organization, was formerly known as America's Second Harvest. Vassar and members
of the Fisk Jubilee Singers re-recorded the title song of his latest album, Prayer of a Common Man, to help raise awareness
about hunger in America. The download will be available Tuesday (Sept. 9) on Rhapsody. Feeding America will receive a portion
of the proceeds for each download of the song through the end of the year. CMT serves as the official media partner for Hunger
Action Month.
