Hank Williams Jr. Named BMI Icon

Hank Williams Jr. will be presented the BMI Icon award during the performing rights organization's 56th annual Country Awards on Nov. 11 in Nashville. Williams will be honored with an all-star musical tribute during the ceremony. Williams wrote many of his biggest hits, including "All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down," "Country Boy Can Survive," "Born to Boogie," "Dixie on My Mind," "Family Tradition," "Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound" and "Texas Women."
