Mary Chapin Carpenter Releases Christmas Album
Mary Chapin Carpenter released her first Christmas album, Come
Darkness, Come Light, on Tuesday (Sept. 30) on Zoe/Rounder Records. The album features six of her original songs, as well
as rare traditional songs. She also includes material from other writers, such as Tommy Thompson and Robin
and Linda Williams. Guests include longtime collaborators Jon Carroll (piano) and John Jennings (guitar, co-producer).
