The musical, Conway Twitty: The Man, the Music, the Legend, opened in Nashville
on Sunday (Oct. 12) at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. Twitty's story is told through the eyes of daughters, Joni and
Kathy. Randy Johnson (Always Patsy Cline) created and directs the production. Singer-songwriter
and producer Anita Cochran, who topped the country chart with Steve Wariner in 1997
with "What If I Said," serves as musical director. The show will next be in Branson, Mo., Oct. 22-25. Among those attending
the premiere were Bill Anderson, Crystal Gayle,
Eric Durrance, Jeff Bates, Helen
Cornelius, Jeannie Seely, Sam Moore, Mandy Barnett,
Jason Meadows and Sharon and Buck White.
