After winning song of the year honors Monday night (Oct. 13) at the ASCAP Country Music Awards, Rachel Thibodeau has signed with Little Champion Music, a publishing company owned and operated by Martina McBride and husband John McBride. ASCAP's country song of the year was "Good Directions," the Billy Currington hit co-written by Thibodeau and singer-songwriter Luke Bryan, who is affiliated with BMI, another performing rights organization. Thibodeau's songwriting credits include "Loveland" and "I'll Still Be Me," both featured on McBride's Waking Up Laughing album. "We started Little Champion Music this year, and Rachel is our first writer," Martina McBride said. "We plan on signing more writers as we find ones that are as special as she is."
