Cast Announced for Third Season of CMT's Gone Country
A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, a former teen idol and an American Idol runner-up are among the cast members for
the third season of Gone Country, the CMT series hosted by singer, songwriter and producer John
Rich. Seven celebrities will be working with Rich in the challenge to become a country music artist. This year's cast,
in alphabetical order, includes George Clinton (a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member who is a founder of the bands Parliament
and Funkadelic), Tara Conner (a television personality who was named Miss USA 2006), Taylor Dayne (an actress and pop vocalist
known for the hits "Tell It to My Heart," "I'll Always Love You" and "Love Will Lead You Back"), Micky Dolenz (an actor and
musician who was drummer and lead vocalist of the Monkees), Sheila E. (a philanthropist, entertainer and musician who has
worked extensively with Prince and Ringo Starr), Richard Grieco (an actor and musician whose TV and film credits include 21
Jump Street and A Night at the Roxbury) and Justin Guarini (singer, songwriter, actor and television host who was
a runner-up in the first season of American Idol). Production is currently underway in Nashville for the season that
premieres in January.
