Reba McEntire Signs New Record Deal With the Valory Music Co.
Reba McEntire has exited her longtime record label, MCA Nashville, and
signed with the Valory Music Co., sister label to Big Machine Records. The move reunites her with Big Machine and Valory Music
president and CEO Scott Borchetta, who secured radio airplay for McEntire's music during the '90s as MCA Nashville's senior
president of promotion. While working with Borchetta at MCA, McEntire reportedly had 14 No. 1 singles and sold more than 22
million albums. The Valory imprint was established in November 2007, and its artist roster also includes Jewel,
Jimmy Wayne, Emerson Drive
and newcomer Justin Moore. Big Machine's roster includes Taylor
Swift, Jack Ingram and Trisha
Yearwood, among others. McEntire's debut single for Valory will be released in early spring, and her first album for the
label is expected in summer 2009.
