Paisley, Plant, Krauss and McAnally Are Early CMA Winners

Brad Paisley, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Mac McAnally are among the early winners at the 42nd annual CMA Awards taking place Wednesday night (Nov. 12) in Nashville. Paisley's "Waitin' on a Woman" resulted in a music video of the year win for Paisley and video directors Jim Shea and Peter Tilden. Plant and Krauss' collaboration on "Gone, Gone, Gone" was named musical event of the year. McAnally, a singer, songwriter and guitarist who is a member of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band, was voted musician of the year. It marks his first CMA win. Winners in select award categories were revealed prior to ABC's live awards show broadcast from the Sommet Center.
