Vince Gill has been named the Country Music Hall of Fame's artist-in-residence for 2009.
He will perform at the museum's Ford Theater on Feb. 3, 17 and 24. Tickets are $40 and available to members on Dec 15 and
16. Sales are open to the general public on Dec. 17. Gill was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. Previous
artist-in-residence honorees include Cowboy Jack Clement, Earl
Scruggs, Tom T. Hall, Guy Clark, Kris
Kristofferson and Jerry Douglas. Established in 2003, the museum's residency program
annually honors a musical master who can be credited with contributing a large and significant body of work to the canon of
American popular music.
