Country Music Hall of Fame member Little Jimmy Dickens is recuperating after
undergoing brain surgery Tuesday (Jan. 13) in Nashville. The 88-year-old Grand Ole Opry member had been diagnosed with a subdural
hematoma, a clot created when blood vessels tear and blood accumulates in the space between the brain and its protective covering
within the skull. Another Country Music Hall of Fame member, Charley Pride, underwent
similar surgery in 2004. Dickens was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1983 and recently celebrated his 60th anniversary as
an Opry member.
