Krauss have been added to the list of performers at the 51st annual
Grammy Awards
show, organizers announced Thursday (Jan. 29). Other new additions to the list include
Kid
Rock, U2 and Rihanna. Plant and Krauss are nominated in five categories, including album of the year and best contemporary
folk/Americana album for
Raising Sand. They are also nominated for record of the year (for
"Please
Read the Letter"), best pop collaboration with vocals ("Rich Woman") and best country collaboration with vocals ("Killing
the Blues"). Previously-announced performers include
Kenny Chesney,
Carrie Underwood, Coldplay, the Jonas Brothers and Lil Wayne. Paul McCartney
will perform with a band featuring Foo Fighters front man Dave Grohl on drums. Jack Black, Duffy, Josh Groban, Charlie Haden,
Samuel L. Jackson and Gwyneth Paltrow will be among the presenters. The Grammy Awards show takes place Feb. 8 in Los Angeles
and will be broadcast live on CBS.
