Ellen DeGeneres presented Lady Antebellum with a gold album during Thursday's (Feb. 5) taping of her television talk show. The RIAA has certified the trio's self-titled debut album gold for shipments of 500,000 copies. DeGeneres surprised the group with the plaque following their performance of "I Run to You," their new single. "Of course, leave it to the girl in the group to cry," band member Hillary Scott said. "We were so caught off guard, but it was such a special place for this to happen since our first national television performance was on Ellen back when our album was released. It was a really cool moment for us to be able to stop and reflect on how amazing the last nine months have been." The episode airs Monday (Feb. 9). View a photo of the gold album presentation.
