Country outlets in Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina are this year's Academy of Country Music radio station of the year
award winners. Announced Tuesday (Feb. 24), the winning stations are WSOC/Charlotte, N.C. (major market), WSIX/Nashville (large
market), WIVK/Knoxville, Tenn. (medium market) and WYCT/Pensacola, Fla. Lon Helton, host of
CMT Country Countdown USA,
was named national on-air personality of the year. Other on-air personality winners include the Dorsey Gang, KSCS/Dallas (major
market) and J.D. Cannon, WFMS/Indianapolis (large market). The medium market personality award went to WIVK's Andy Ritchie,
Alison West and Jimmy Holt, and the small market personality prize was won by WYCT's Brent Lane and Dana Cervantes. The winners
were notified by phone by
Little Big Town's Kimberly Schlapman and will be acknowledged
during the 44th annual ACM Awards show taking place April 5 in Las Vegas.
