Kid Rock joined the Zac Brown
Band on stage at a concert in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Tuesday (March 17) at a club called the Intersection. Kid Rock lives
in Clarkston, Mich. He and Brown became friends following the Zac Brown Band's success with "Chicken
Fried," and they recently toured Afghanistan together on behalf of the USO. In addition, Kid Rock produced an album for
Tuesday night's opening band, Ty Stone & the Truth. According to the Grand Rapids Press, Kid Rock told the audience,
"The reason I love this band is because there ain't no tape recordings on stage. There is no ProTools on stage. ... The Zac
Brown Band is the antithesis of that American Idol (expletive)." For his 10-minute appearance during the encore, Kid
Rock also played "Sweet Home Alabama" with the Zac Brown Band and his own hit, "All
Summer Long."
