Michael Martin Murphey and Dailey
& Vincent are among the acts headlining the Bluegrass Returns to Its Roots Festival taking place Thursday through
Saturday (April 2-4) in Owensboro, Ky. Owensboro was the original home of the International Bluegrass Music Association and
the IBMA Awards Show and continues as the site of the International Bluegrass Music Museum. Other acts set to perform during
the three-day event are the Steep Canyon Rangers, the Josh Williams
Band, Bradley Walker, Michael
Cleveland & Flamekeeper, J.D. Crowe, the Bluegrass
Allstars, Dale Ann Bradley and the Lonesome River Band. On Thursday,
the museum will show a series of oral history films on the music of Earl Scruggs,
Pete Seeger, Curly Seckler and Jimmy
Martin. Tickets are available through the RiverPark Center box office in Owensboro.
