Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley Added to CMT Music Awards

Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley have been added to the performance lineup for the 2009 CMT Music Awards premiering June 16 on CMT and CMT.com. As previously announced, the show will also include performances by Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Def Leppard. Fan voting for the awards began on April 13 at CMT.com and ends Monday (May 11) to determine the four finalists in each category. Finalists will be announced on May 19 on CMT and CMT.com during the 2009 CMT Music Awards Nominee Special hosted by Kellie Pickler and Lance Smith. Fan voting then resumes through June 15. The final nominees for video of the year will be announced at the beginning of the show. Voting in that single category then continues during the show through balloting taking place online and via text on Verizon Wireless phones. The awards show will be telecast live from the Sommet Center in downtown Nashville.
