CMT One Country is joining forces with Dierks Bentley and the Children's Miracle Network
to expand his Miles & Music for Kids fundraiser to six additional cities in 2009 and 2010. More than $500,000 has been
raised since Bentley began the charity event in 2006 in Nashville as a motorcycle ride and concert. This year's kick-off event
will be held Oct. 11 at Nashville's Riverfront Park and will once again benefit the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital
at Vanderbilt, a Children's Miracle Network hospital. Dates will be announced later for the other markets: Phoenix, Seattle,
Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago and Bentley's hometown, Phoenix. The events in each city will follow the same formula established
in Nashville with a motorcycle ride starting at a local dealership and following a specific route that ends at a concert venue
for a concert featuring Bentley and his friends. Previous concerts in Nashville have featured Tim
McGraw, John Rich, Jason Aldean,
Jamey Johnson and Jeff
Foxworthy. The Children's Miracle Network is an international nonprofit organization that raises funds for more than 170
children's hospitals. CMT One Country, CMT's pro-social initiative, was launched in 2005 to promote civic participation and
inspire CMT viewers to take action and bring about important change in their communities.
