Despite the nation's current economic condition, the 2009
CMA Music Festival's
average daily attendance jumped to 56,000 to log a 7.2-percent increase over last year's figure of 52,000, according to the
Country Music Association. Organizers saw sizable increases in attendance at the daytime concert venues and individual tickets
to the nightly concert series. In addition to the free daytime concerts in front of the Sommet Center, this marked the first
year that free admission was offered at the larger Riverfront Park stage. Tickets are already on sale for the next CMA Music
Festival taking place June 10-13, 2010. Early ticket sales figures for 2010 are up 4.6 percent from when tickets to the recent
festival went on sale in June 2008.
