Alison Krauss & Union Station and Brad Paisley
will participate in the White House Music Series in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday (July 21). Krauss and Paisley will take part
in an afternoon educational workshop with 120 middle and high school students from across the nation. Among them will be 40
students from the W.O. Smith/Nashville Community School of Music, an institution that provides music lessons to deserving
children from low income families. Tuesday night, Krauss and Paisley will perform for President Barack Obama and his wife,
Michelle, as well as White House staff and members of Congress. The series celebrates the arts and the importance of arts
education. It launched last month with a focus on jazz and will continue in the fall with classical music.
