Trace Adkins has landed the role of a judge in a TV singing competition for an upcoming
independent movie, Lifted. Adkins will play Jimmy Knox, the guest judge on the fictional competition, Teen Starquest.
The film is currently being shot in Birmingham, Ala., and also stars Dash Mihok, Nicki Aycox, James Handy, American Idol
winner Ruben Studdard and 12-year-old Uriah Shelton as Henry Matthews, the lead character who auditions for the show when
his father is re-deployed to Iraq. The film is expected to be released in September 2010.
