Lyle Lovett will release a new album, Natural Forces, on Curb/Lost
Highway on Oct. 20. Lovett wrote or co-wrote nearly half of the songs, including "It's Rock and Roll" with Robert
Earl Keen. Six others are written by Texas songwriters he admires, including David
Ball ("Don't You Think I Feel It Too"), Vince Bell ("Sun and Moon and Stars"), Tommy Elskes ("Bohemia"), Don Sanders ("Bayou
Song"), Eric Taylor ("Whooping Crane") and Townes Van Zandt ("Loretta").
Lovett recorded the album with his Large Band and co-producer Billy Williams.
