Kenny Chesney Editing His Summer in 3D Film
Kenny Chesney: Summer in 3D, a concert film shot in five cities,
will hit theaters in April. Chesney is currently editing the film that will be released by Sony Pictures Entertainment's Hot
Ticket Division. He got the idea after seeing U2's 1998 film, U2 3D. "It was like something I'd never seen, and I wondered
what would happen if we tried to capture some of what was going on like that," he said. The film was shot with 22 3-D camera
rigs during concerts in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle, Boston and Indianapolis. Chesney is nominated in three categories
at the 43rd annual CMA Awards show taking place Wednesday (Nov. 11) in Nashville.
