Ricky Skaggs and bluegrass comedian/radio personality Wichita Rutherford are auctioning
off Skaggs' G-run guitar lick that Rutherford claims he caught in a Mason jar. The musical passage, played in the G-chord
position, is one of the most familiar guitar licks in bluegrass music. Before Rutherford facetiously captured the audio in
the glass container, Skaggs wrote "Ricky's G-Run" on the back of a package of guitar strings and put it in the jar as well.
Proceeds will benefit World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization that fights poverty and injustice. The eBay auction
concludes Sunday (Dec. 20).
