Carrie Underwood and pro hockey player Mike Fisher are now engaged, her Nashville-based
publicist confirmed Monday (Dec. 21). "The couple couldn't be happier," publicist Jessie Schmidt told CMT Radio. "No wedding
date has been set at this time." Fisher, 29, a center for the Ottawa Senators, told the Ottawa Citizen newspaper that
he proposed Sunday. He would not provide additional details, but one of his friends told the newspaper the proposal took place
at his home while surrounded by family and friends. Underwood, 26, and Fisher have reportedly been dating for about a year.
They met in March 2008 when he went backstage at her concert at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa.
