The 2010 Sound & Speed event kicks off Friday night (Jan. 8) in Nashville during two special performances of the Grand
Ole Opry with guest appearances by NASCAR drivers Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray and Kyle Petty. The event continues Saturday
(Jan. 9) at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium with a series of driver and artist autograph and Q&A sessions and displays of
2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars. The Opry performances will include appearances by Hank
Williams Jr., Vince Gill, Holly Williams, Chris Young, Jason Michael Carroll and American
Idol finalist Danny Gokey. The list of drivers appearing at the Municipal Auditorium will include Dale Earnhardt Jr.,
Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards, Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne, Michael Waltrip, Denny Hamlin and others. Josh
Turner, Chuck Wicks, Ashton
Shepherd and members of Diamond Rio will also be appearing Saturday. Sound & Speed
benefits Victory Junction, a year-round camping experience founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty for children ages 6-16 with chronic
medical conditions or serious illnesses.
