The late Roy Orbison will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during an unveiling ceremony on Jan. 29. His wife, Barbara, and sons Roy Jr. and Alex are expected to attend the event. Orbison grew up in Wink, Texas, and recorded "Ooby Doobie" with the Teen Kings before rerecording the song for Sun Records and becoming part of the label's artist roster. During his tenure on Nashville-based Monument Records, he recorded a string of hits such as "Only the Lonely," "Running Scared," "Blue Bayou," "In Dreams," "It's Over" and "Oh Pretty Woman." In addition to his solo career, he spent part of the '80s as a member of the Traveling Wilburys, a band that included George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. Orbison died in 1988.
