Lady Antebellum's new album, Need You Now, sold 481,000 copies in its first week of release to debut at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. In doing so, Need You Now has already claimed almost one-third the sales total of the trio's self-titled debut album, which has sold 1,453,000 million copies. According to Billboard, their debut album sold 43,000 in its opening week to debut at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in May 2008. Need You Now has racked up the best first-week sales since Taylor Swift's Fearless debuted at No. 1 in November 2008 with sales of 592,000. Need You Now knocks Fearless from the top spot of the country albums chart. Swift slips to second place while Lady Antebellum claims the No. 3 position. "Need You Now" recently spent five weeks at No. 1 on the country singles chart, and the track climbs from No. 37 to No. 30 on Billboard's pop songs chart this week. The trio's latest single, "American Honey," has already reached No. 17 on the country songs chart after being released to radio seven weeks ago.
