Darius Rucker Visits Veterans Hospital on Behalf of Musicians on Call
Darius Rucker visited the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System's Veterans
Affairs Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Wednesday on behalf of Musicians on Call, a nonprofit organization which
brings music to hospital patients. He will also perform at the Hard Rock Café in Nashville on March 3 to raise money
for the organization. "I think the Musicians on Call initiative is important because it's one-on-one contact with patients
whose health and recovery can directly be affected by one person's time and attention," said Rucker. "Hospitals like the VA
are so incredible for recognizing this benefit and incorporating it into their treatment to break up the monotony and improve
each patient's quality of life."
