Alison Krauss & Union Station and Mary
Chapin Carpenter are among the musicians featured on a new live album, Rounder Records' 40th Anniversary Concert,
released Tuesday (March 2). Filmed at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville in October, the concert will begin airing on PBS
stations this month. The album also includes performances by Steve Martin during a concert at the Ryman Auditorium, a duet
of "Rich Woman" from the CMT Crossroads episode with Krauss and Robert
Plant and two songs from a Madeleine Peyroux concert in Los Angeles. Other musicians on the project include Minnie Driver,
Jerry Douglas, Béla
Fleck, Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Chas and Irma Thomas.
