Alan Jackson is in New York City for a series of television appearances coinciding with
Tuesday's (March 30) release of his new album, Freight Train. Following a Tuesday morning performance on Today,
he'll appear later in the evening on the Late Show With David Letterman. While in New York, he'll also tape an episode
of the A&E interview and performance series, Private Sessions With Lynn Hoffman, to premiere April 11. Jackson travels
to Los Angeles for appearances on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (April 14) and The Ellen DeGeneres Show (April
16). The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce will unveil Jackson's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during ceremonies on April
16. His star will be located at 6801 Hollywood Blvd., near similar stars honoring the Doors and John Travolta. Jackson's Freight
Train tour with Josh Turner and Chris Young kicks
off April 8 in Fort Myers, Fla.
