Jimmy Wayne will walk through Amarillo, Texas, on Saturday (April 3), marking the halfway point of his "Meet Me Halfway" walk from Nashville to Phoenix. He will celebrate the milestone with a meet-and-greet at the Hastings Record Store in Amarillo. Wayne began his journey on Jan. 1 and will have walked 977 miles by the time he reaches Amarillo. He is walking to raise awareness about the plight of homeless teens. He will conclude his walk in Phoenix at HomeBase Youth Services, an Arizona-based, nonprofit organization that addresses the needs of at-risk and homeless youth aged 21 and younger.
