Terri Clark's mother, Linda Clark, died Sunday (April 4) following a lengthy battle with
cancer. According to a statement on the singer's Web site, "She is finally at peace and out of pain, our hearts are broken
and we will miss her terribly." Terri Clark was inspired by her mother's strength to write and record many of the songs on
her latest album, The Long Way Home, which was released in 2009.
