Shania Twain will star in her own television series on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, according to a press release from the network. Titled Why Not? With Shania Twain, the series is described in the press release as "her climb back to the top, a personal journey filled with risk, revelations and unexpected adventures." A spokesperson at Twain's record label described the series as a "docu-series" rather than a reality show. The network will launch the one-hour episodes on Jan. 1, 2011, into 80 million homes. Twain divorced Robert "Mutt" Lange in 2008 after his affair with friend and employee Marie-Anne Thiébaud. Twain has recently been dating Frédéric Thiébaud, who is Marie-Anne's former husband.
