Trace Adkins' new album, Cowboy's Back in Town, is scheduled for an Aug. 24 release. It's his first project for Show Dog-Universal Music, a company formed earlier this year as a venture between Toby Keith's Show Dog label and Universal South Records. "This Ain't No Love Song," the first single from the album, will be released May 17. Written by Tony Lane, Marcel and David Lee, it's Adkins' first single since exiting Capitol Nashville. He will perform the song on the Miss USA pageant in Las Vegas on May 16. The ceremony will air live on NBC. "Toby has said this new music has a smile on it, and maybe that's just a reflection of where I'm at right now," Adkins said. "I have this new sense of invigoration, and making this record was a lot of fun."
