Taylor Swift will receive the Hal David Starlight Award, presented to
contemporary young songwriters by the Songwriters Hall of Fame, on June 17 in New York City. The award will be presented during
the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony. "Taylor Swift is one of the brightest musical talents to emerge in recent
years and represents the true epitome of the Starlight Award," said David, the organization's chairman and CEO. "She possesses
an undeniable talent as a songwriter, expressive singer and performer, and we are proud to present her with this well-deserved
honor."
