Several songwriters who have written hits for Kenny Chesney will gather
to perform the material during the CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Chesney is not scheduled to appear at the June 10 event
at the Hard Rock Cafe. Participants include Mac McAnally ("Down the Road,"
"Back Where I Come From"), Craig Wiseman ("The Good Stuff,"
"Ain't Back Yet,"
"Summertime"), Brett James ("When the Sun Goes Down,"
"Out Last Night,"), Neil Thrasher ("There
Goes My Life," "I Lost It"), Wendell Mobley ("There Goes My
Life," "How Forever Feels") and Casey Beathard ("Don't Blink,"
"No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems"). The performance
will benefit Musicians On Call, a nonprofit organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in
healthcare facilities to promote and complement the healing process for patients, families and caregivers. The CMA Music Festival
takes place June 10-13.
