Jamey Johnson will participate in the CMA Songwriter Series at Joe's Pub
in New York City on Sept. 8. In addition to co-writing "In Color,"
which won the CMA Award for song of the year, Johnson's credits include Trace Adkins'
"Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" and George
Strait's "Give It Away." Johnson will release a new album, The Guitar Song, on Sept. 14. For the performance in
New York, he will be joined by Buddy Cannon ("Give It Away," Vern Gosdin's "Set 'Em Up,
Joe"), Bobby Pinson (Toby Keith's "She's
a Hottie," Sugarland's "All
I Want to Do") and host Bob DiPiero (Tim McGraw's "Southern
Voice," Strait's "Blue Clear Sky"). Tickets go on sale Wednesday (July 14).
