Taylor Swift, George Strait and
Tim McGraw are among the artists with top-grossing tours in the first half of 2010, according
to a report from Pollstar magazine, a tour industry trade publication. Bon
Jovi tops the list with a gross of $52.8 million, just ahead of James
Taylor and Carole King with $41 million. Swift ranks third with $34.2 million. Paul McCartney ranks fourth with $31.6
million, followed by Strait's tour (with Reba McEntire and Lee
Ann Womack) in fifth place at $29.8 million. McGraw and Lady Antebellum landed
in eighth place with $28.2 million. Other country artists on the list include Carrie
Underwood (No. 15, $18.4 million), Brad Paisley (No. 16, $18.1 million), Brooks
& Dunn (No. 22, $13.8 million) and Rascal Flatts (No. 26, $11.8 million). Country
tours on the list for concert grosses totaling between $3 million and $10 million include Sugarland
($8.5 million), Martina McBride and Trace Adkins
($6.3 million), Jason Aldean ($5.7 million), Willie
Nelson ($4.7 million), Alan Jackson ($4.3 million) and the Zac
Brown Band ($3.2 million).
